Thanksgiving

Well, Thanksgiving is over and it was a GREAT holiday! We have 23 adults, 3 children, and one baby in our house for the past 2 days. LOVED IT! Here's a round-up of what we had:

Smoked turkey

Cornbread dressing

Green beans and mushrooms

Sweet potato casserole and broccoli casserole

Squash casserole

Salad, cranberry salad, and rolls. Desserts included pecan pie, chocolate chip pound cake, and blueberry cobbler. Recipes for some of these will come later, but for now just enjoy the eye candy!

Mmmmm, it all looks delicious! Sounds like you had a wonderful time, Claire. Now is it back to the books or do you have a break?

RDM - We did have a good time! I didn't have class on Thursday or Friday but start back on Monday for heavy studying until tests! Oh yeah, Monday I also have JURY DUTY!!! I'd like to do it but have to "get out of it" for school.

Lauren - Hope you had a great day as well. It was a wonderful time for us!

Ari - It was a feast...believe it or not by the end of the day we had NO leftovers except for dessert.

LF - Thanks so much! We were glad to have everyone there becuase that doesn't happen often.

Linda - I know the feeling...I like the holidays and baking that it brings but like to get back to normal eating too!

Erika - The recipes are coming!!!

Stacy - We had a great time. I love little kids and the new baby was such a joy.

VC - I LOVE smoked turkey. Usually we have baked and smoked but the oven couldn't be tied up by turkey so we smoked a whole turkey and a breast. I did not miss the baked one AT ALL!!! This means that I have to get a smoker when I have my own house...that may be YEARS away! :-)
