Disney- Day 4

Our last day at Disney started out with the Mary Poppins breakfast.
I LOVED the breakfast character meal and would recommend doing one for sure.  It's just different from all the other main meal dinners.  The characters here were such fun!  we saw Alice,
who was GREAT with Kate remembering exactly what she was doing in the parade the night before,  We saw Pooh
and Tigger, too.
Then there was Mary Poppins and Bert.
Bert got so excited that he got his own page in Kate's autograph book.
Apparently, he usually shares with Mary!

After breakfast we headed over to MGM.  Kate was our tour guide and negotiated the map for us.
While we were waiting for the bus we had a quick hair session.
Kate wanted her hair like mine.  :-)  Then she gave Caleb his first kiss.  :-)
When we got to MGM, we went to Indiana Jones.  After that we headed over to Toy Story, which was lots of fun.  We also saw a Little Mermaid show.  Ellen, Jim, and Kate-o stayed for lunch and the muppets.
We went over to Magic Kingdom to go to the parade and get ice cream.  My pregnant self wanted a cookie ice cream sandwich; unfortunately, the only had chocolate chip cookies there while our hotel had choices.  I was stubborn and waited.  So, Kate got a mickey ice cream sandwich.
She told us that was her favorite part of the whole trip.  Seriously?!  We took a trip to disney and your favorite part was an ice cream sandwich?!  Sigh!

The parade was fun...but hot!  We got to see Ana and Elsa,
Rapunzel,
Merida,
Peter Pan,
Belle,
Snow White, Alice, Daisy and Donald.
We also saw the dragon from Sleeping Beauty.
Just as it did at Disney on Ice, the dragon scared Kate a bit.  She snugged in for protection. So sweet.

Afterwards, we went and got Kate's silhouette done.  This was my souvenir and I love it!  Now we need one for Caleb!
Then we met Kate-O and Ellen.  We rode the Jungle Cruise and then Haunted Mansion again.  Kate really enjoyed that.  Right before that ride, our realtor called to tell us that someone had placed an offer on the house we wanted to buy and what did we want to do.  So, while in Disneyworld, we made an offer on a house, all while we had NO ONE show at our open house.  Two days later we had purchased our house.  Crazy week!

Anyway, after that Kate and Grammy and Kate-O headed to Chef Mickey's.  David and I bowed out from this one for a dinner alone.  We ended up at the 50's diner in MGM.  It was some of the better food we had all week - I got veggie lasagna and David had meatloaf and milk shake. Later, we returned to Magic kingdom and rode Splash Mountain.  I had asked my OB if I could ride it.  She said yes.  I got a little nervous but David said I had to.  It was so fun!!  Then we head back to the hotel...I got there just in time to get my cookie.  Yum!

What a great weekend we had at Disneyworld.  I know Kate LOVED it and we had a great time with everyone.  We are so thankful for Grammy and Granddaddy's generosity in taking us on this trip.  A great family vacation that we will always remember!

Disney Day 3

The next two days were warm and sunny, so the crowds were larger but still not bad.  We went to EPCOT on the morning of Day 3.
Kate wore her Ariel outfit because we had plans to meet some princesses later that day at lunch.  The first character we met that day was Pluto.
Kate was SO excited to meet him.  Then we headed over to the Land and Sea exhibits.  Everyone else rode Soarin' while I waited.  Things like that make me feel sick.  First we had to be sure Kate could ride...she JUST was tall enough.  YAY!  She loved it.  At one point, she said it was her favorite; I think she thought they had really gone to those places.  So cute!
Then we explored a little and rode a Nemo ride.  By that time it was actually almost time to go see the Princesses at Akershush in Norway.
Kate had fun meeting more princesses featuring Belle and including Sleeping Beauty,
Snow White,
Cinderella  (who OF COURSE remembered Kate giving her the flower the night before!)
and Ariel (who of course, loved her outfit!)
Granddaddy and Kate had fun playing while we waited on dessert...
and then Kate got to lead the line of princesses during the parade.
We rode the Norway ride and tried to meet Mulan, but her visit was too far away; so, Kate went back to the hotel for nap while David and I returned to Magic Kingdom.  I got a Dole Whip (which was pretty good).  We did some shopping and climbed the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.
Then we went to meet Kate, Kate-O and Grammy.  While we were waiting, we got a call from our realtor that NO ONE had come to our open house.  I was just a little (read MUCH) disappointed!  Everyone rode the rollercoaster while I guarded the stroller (sigh...being pregnant at Disney is no fun as far as rides go) and Kate-O and Kate rode Dumbo.
On the way to the other side of the park for the parade, we snapped this cute picture of Kate mirroring Ariel!
Then we got to watch the parade.  Such fun!
There were lots of characters including Tinkerbell,
Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella,
the Dwarves (Kate got to hold Doc's hand!),
Pete's dragon and an Eagle to end it all.  After the parade we rode Pirates of the Caribbean and then headed to the fireworks.
It was a long day but fun!  One more day to go!

Disney Day 2

Well, the rain from day 1 continued most of day 2 but that didn't stop us.  We got up and headed to Animal Kingdom.  Due to the rain, we started at the bug show, then waited for Mickey and Minnie.
Safari Mickey and Minnie were thrilled to see Kate.
Then she and Daddy and Kate-O rose Kali River Rapids.  I sat this out with Ellen and Jim due to being 19 weeks pregnant.  However, after the ride, we decided it was okay for me to ride (!) and we went back later on all together.
Lots of fun!  Then we walked around some, David and Kate-O rode Mt. Everest while the rest of us watched a fun bird show.
We had reservations at Donald's Tusker House.  While we waited to be called, Kate and Granddaddy practiced their roars.
It was fun because the buffet (as most of the character meals were) was Indian and African cuisine.  I enjoyed this one a lot.
Kate had fun meeting Donald, Daisy,
Mickey, and Goofy.  She even took part in a musical parade.  Afterwards, we went on a safari
and through a rainforest where I was eaten by a fossil.
Kate got to play a traditional African game, which I played as a child as well.
Our next fast pass was for Finding Nemo.  Kate fell asleep inside but only napped for about 20 minutes.
We did a few more kiddie rides before heading to the front to find Pocahontas (and she and Kate became FAST friends!).
While waiting for her, we found another Kato!!!
Kate also learned about flamingos - this is how they sleep!
Then it was off to our Character dinner where we got to meet Cinderella,
the step-sisters,
step-mother
and Prince Charming.  Kate was definitely smitten by Prince Charming!
On the way in, she had picked up a browning flower from the ground.  She decided that she wanted to give it to Cinderella.  It was so sweet and Cinderella found it funny and cute that Kate picked it up off the ground for her.
Yet another fun day at Disney!
